Title: Good news for deer registration
Post by: Huntnfish603 on Feb 03, 2022, 08:08:47 PM
Apparently the powers to be listened. Good news for us.
The bill to create online registration passed 20-0.
HB 1230. An amendment for some language change has to be done and it's not quite official, but I'd say we can look forward to this for September. No more running around at night trying to beat the clock, driving miles and miles out of the way,  Or for some, the crossing state line issue.
Well done NH, it's about time

Nothing but a blessing for sure. Though I was told, if it 100% goes through which I’m sure it will. That this won’t be ready to roll until 2023 season. I’m hoping I got bad info lol.

You could be right about that Frank. Guess it depends on how long it takes them.

Yea so looking at the wording again, rule says the program must be up and running by September 2023. Unless they drag their feet, no reason it shouldn't be this season. Remember when covid hit in 2020, they had the online turkey reg up and running in 3-4 weeks.

Hopefully this whole thing works out. so much easier especially when you get done dragging at 7 and no ones open to even check it in. I wonder if the 24hr rule will go away with online checking?

I doubt it. It didn't with the turkey reg.
But it's not really an issue. Most people have internet access all the time

Looks like it passed the House and is in the Senate now... fingers crossed!
