Turkey hunter shot in NY

Please be careful out there. A 46 year old guy shot his nephew while turkey hunting in Chenango county, NY. Apparently he "thought" he was shooting at a turkey. Please make sure your target is a Turkey before you shoot. Thank you.

two years ago here in cattaraugus county my friend was shot by his own brother, he was in a brush pile clucking and his brother assumed it was a bird so he shot, pellets all up his side and neck, luckily no major damage
