Congrats Joe! I went out yesterday afternoon for my 3rd hunt of the season. Saw a small 5 point and a 6 point and a doe. The 2 bucks were sparring on and off for about an hour in between feeding in the alfalfa field. Back at it this evening.

I snuck out this morning with the smoke pole. Ended up seeing 8 does and fawns.

I sat for the evening watch on Saturday with the bow. Saw 2 small bucks and 8 does. They were really moving. Calling for snow where I hunt in the southern tier this Sunday through Wednesday. Should be good

Third bow sit of the year tonight.  Big bodied white faced 6 pt came out at 35yds, then a nice doe. Gotta work at 5am or she’d be in trouble.

Pulling double duty tomorrow. Rifle hunting in the morning and then I am taking the 6 year old with me bow hunting in the evening.

Awful quiet here!

Hunted yesterday morning with the bow. Saw 1 doe and 2 bucks, 1 was a small half rack, the other was a decent shooter 8 point with no browtimes. Nothing close enough to shoot. No sign of any rut action yet.
