Well last night I had a mature Tom all roosted along side some farm pasture, snuck in before light this morning got the dekes all set up with a feeding hen + jake.  Raining this morning, steady drizzle, they flew down 40 yds up from me, no gobble.....the bugger never made a peep untill a cow mooed then I started calling, had him gobbling come to me and then blaaaaaaaaaaaaaa turns out a white-tail was more interested then the turkeys, came right into the decoys then winded me circled back blowing to beat the ban then finished with a 20yd. staring contest.  No bird but a pretty cool start to my morning, well off to work! :(
