There is a big difference in taste between Mule deer and Whitetail deer. It all depends where you get them here. The Mulies I got this year were taken in a pea field...unbelievable flavor! The "bush bucks" don't have quite that much flavour, but still good eats. I took a small Whitetail this year that was a small 4X4 and it is hard to BBQ because it pulls apart on the grill. We got our Elk in the same area as my Mulies this year (Northern BC) and it is really hard to grab anything else out of the freezer for dinner!!! The best meat going in my books and also the kids books!! My wifes favorite is Elk also!
