how did the days hunt go

in the woods at 630 jumped the fist deer 50 yards from the road stoped had a smoke started making my way to the field were my brother was waiting for me jumped a doe spike and a good buck couldn get a clean shoot of at the bigger buck the doe and spike went right to my brother he got the spike wich turned out to be a fork by 715 dragging the fist deer of the year to the truck and saw nothing the rest of the day

I helped drag out a small 6 point, but didn't see anything myself.

Sat in my tree stand about 3 PM....4:15 PM spotted some movement to my rear...big doe, and decided to take her...one shot...dressed out at 150# !...Biggest doe I have ever taken in over 50 years of hunting...Good luck to everyone else this season... ;D

nice looking deer oldfox congrads i shot one 1n 1970 that weighted 154 any doe that goes over 130 is a big doe in my book and for the size she was pretty tender hope yours is too .i havent gone out since sat been too warm

Nice doe Oldfox, condrats. My biggest doe was 135 lbs.
By they way. Did you build that shed recently? I built mine about 10 years ago and it's so full of junk that I'd never be able to hang a deer in it.  ::)

Its a shop/shed/garage, and yes built it this summer...give it time, it will get cluttered ..;) !!

Nice deer, Jerry!! I've seen a few skippers... nothing worth shooting... gonna try a different area tomorrow... anyone got any ideas where I should try next week if tomorrow's a bust? I just didn't get to do the scouting I would have liked to with the bum leg and all.... God willing, I'll be back to 100% for next summer and do some real pre-hunt scouting...

I had one decent sized doe in my scope Saturday afternoon, but she wouldn't step out from behind some brush.  I don't like to shoot through brush, so maybe I'll see her again this week.
