Chaga?
« on: Nov 16, 2012, 07:55:53 AM »
I met a gut the other night talking about Chaga. Apparently comes off black birch trees and has some really good healing powers. Very good for the immune system and even has some link to treating some cancers or something? Anyone know anything about it? He asked me to keep my eyes open while I'm in the woods hunting. I did a little research but only quickly.

It is easy to find in the north. I find it on white and yellow birch.  I've heard it's good for cancer, urinary track and memory.[/img]

The hen of the woods (Maitake) also has anti cancer properties as well!

I enjoy it on pizza, marinated (like in the picture), or dried and powdered in a coffee grinder - then sprinkled on anything and everything edible.
