What kind is this??

anyone know? are they edible? they look kind of like sponges and they are growing right in front of my uncles barn....they have never been there before so i was just curious

thanks thats what i figured after i looked up pics of a whole bunch of mushrooms.....how do you cook them maybe ill give em a try although maybe not cuz im not a huge fan of mushrooms....we'll see

I know this thread is old but I thought I would add that even if you don't want to eat them, pick them and sell them. They sell for $100 a pound here. ( I go and pick them free while turkey hunting)

really, thats sweet i didn't know that...maybe next time i see them i wont just let them go to waste.
