You wont regret it. I bought a Glock 19 9mm for cheaper shooting years ago. Then I got into law enforcement and after firing 3500 rounds (Glock 21) in 2 weeks, Glock ruined me for my other guns. I sold my Ruger 45 to my Dad because I kept trying to use trigger reset like on Glocks and would short stroke it. I have never had any problems with them that wasn't ammo related.

Spike, are you allowed to use your own hand gun for work, or are you forced to use what they give you?  I think I'd use something with a little more umph than a 9mm on the job!

No Dept issued a Glock 21 45 acp.

I would have no problem using a 9mm though. Its all in the right ammo and shot placement. Least the hollow points open up unlike the .40 cal. Its a very fast round.
