Okay everyone this of course will be the official thread where we will post the pictures of our harvested birds and measurements. Along with a story of your successful hunt if you wish. Let's all have fun and be safe. Good luck everyone.(Please no other post here)

Looks like Im first again this year!  Season started in ND yesterday April 10th, went out could have shot a Jake but decieded to wait for a nice big gobbler.  THis am was cool 27deg F  about 8am a gobbler that had been talking to me for about a half hour came in to the decoy.  I was using just a single hen decoy, mouth call, a old double bull blind that has served me well.  Mathews solo cam bow SQ2 and arrows with wackum broad heads.  Single shot from 15 yd full strut  straight on to me downed this nice Tom.  Arrow hit the spine and he didnt do anything but flip over a couple of times.   We had turkey stir fry tonight, Yum! Marinated the breast strips in Italian seasoning for a couple hours.  The Tom weighted right on 20lbs, spur length 1 1/8th " or 1.1250 R and L, beard a hair past 9" at 9.1275"  Final score if I figured it out correct NWT 60.75  unless I figured wrong!!   Scored better than the Ocellated last year!!

Well Dropped the Hammer this morning at 6:15am  Set up on some birds i've been putting to bed each night.  Birds gobbling as soon as it got light out.  Had a bird come all the way up the field from the bottom and was pacing at the woods line and would not commit to going into the woods.  At this same point a hen comes from behind me and walks within 4 yds of me and right up to the Tom in the Field.  After they were out of sight i put the stalk on a crawled up to the fields edge.  Caught a glimpse of the fan popped up to one knee readied myself for the shot and dropped him with the ol' Mossberg.  Bird weighed 17.5lbs Had an Eight inch beard 1' spurs on one side and 3/4" on the other.  It was checked in at R+R sports shop in Belchertown and was isussed MA Tag #1506 (all measurements were taken at the official checking station) Birds scores 50.531

He shoots he scores!  Nice bird. 5 more days then watch out! Cousin saw 5 toms fanned in 2 different fields this mornin and heard em gobblin in the woods next to the house. We have a mass surplus of big gobblers this yr im gonna be like a kid on christmas eve friday night  .

Here is my official entry photos for the contest.  The weight is 23 pnds, 91/2 inch beard, and both spurs were 3/4 of an inch.

I did the math on my bird and I guess it scores at 57.  Did not place the score with my post and I'm not 100% sure I did it right.  It is my first time.

Professor Backstrap had to go to work at noon so I told him I would get his pic's up for him. We went to roost a tom last night,while we were waiting a nice tom walks up to within 10 yds of us,spot's us finally and backs off about 40 yds. The tom paced back and forth wanting to be where we were so we creeped out of the woods and back to the truck.By now it was dark. Zack went in this morning all alone,set up and called the tom in to 15 yds.  I forgot the camera at home when we checked it in. so I missed the scale but here are the numbers.

Weight-22lb  10" beard   right spur is 1 1/8"  left is 1" even.   score of 63
