My high power at the moment is a sporterised 303 british, lee enfield. If it didn't do the trick I would have a different gun (actually I wanted it to not do the trick last deer season, but that gun could drop a deer at 200yds even if I wasn't trying, the bolt dropped out and I couldn't find it in a field I thought that was it but even then we found it and I droped another). The gun I want is a .25wssm, or a .243wssm, my wife won't let me buy one until I don't change my mind anymore.

shrub

there is a 99 in 300savage in the buy and sell.

I personally like the 308 or 30-06, but am growing fond of a 45/70 I just picked up.

Aren't you a bit young for a .300, DD? your going to go blind from the recoil.

Duckdowner/yellowtail.......who is your Dad......I'm confused.....is it Derek? ???
Word of advice from an oldtimer who gets his hearing checked every year (manditory at work)...........wear ear protection when shooting......especially canons like the 300MAG.

Thanks to the 7mmRem Mag, I've damaged my hearing in my left ear........right handed shooter........

Blue Igloo......(I know....I should change my nickname for this forum but with all the passwords, combinations, pin numbers, phone numbers etc.......I'm trying to cut down...........I'm running out of sticky notes and I'm almost hiding my computer screen with them  ;D

Hey BI your back, yeah I found that wearing the ear protection helped me shoot better when target shooting my gun. I forgot to take off my ear plugs after work one day, I grabed my rifle and drove to a spot to shoot, I still had them around my neck so I used them, Way better.
