Fishneyes that is one awesome hunt! I was lucky enough to shoot 1 pheasant in my life (I was grouse hunting) and that had to be the tastiest bird I ever ate.
Tresspassing on my land is bad, Tresspassing on my land with an ATV will get you shot!

Man, those are beautiful photos.  Love the 2nd one, with the yellow "old timer" sitting off to the side, thinking "I'm not sitting with those young punks....I've taken more birds then this in my lifetime!".   ;D   Got to love the labs who hunt upland gamebirds.  It's our opener in NY this Saturday and my chocolate is chomping at the bit to go!  Well, ok,  ;D  I'm the one chomping at the bit!

Nice shooting.

 MtLion,

The two pics with the big line of birds were shot on a preserve in March of 07.

I usually don't pay to hunt, but about two to three times a year I go to a hunting reserve for dog training purposes.

It just keeps their heads in the game until fall.

That particular hunt eight of us bought 100 pheasants and we killed 67.

The area we hunt is right in the middle of great pheasant hunting ground and is a two mile area with tall CRP so it's anything but a canned hunt.   The birds run and fly really well and it's a great training tool for the mutts.

All the other ones, including the pic of the birds on the white pickup, are wild birds.
