Hey congrats Drobs! Looks like Im first again this year! I had posted some trail cam pics of my spot that was red hot this opening am. I broke down and bought a DSD upright hen earlier this week. My old (15yr old) decoys were looking pretty beat up. Yep she was expensive but I had a hen come in and attack her this am! I have never seen this before. About 1/2 hr later a jake came in with a 3-4" beard displaying to the hen, I decieded to pass and around 10am I can hear the flutter of a displaying tom, yelped , he gobbled back and within minutes was displaying in front of the blind. A 15 yd sidewise shot into the wing area above the leg, thru and thru, he went about 40 yds.
I shoot a Mathew's bow, I have switched to Rage 1.75" turkey points, I use to use Spitfire points. Note bow sling made by droberts! Brought me Good Luck!

i should have picked the one on the left. dads bird was almost 3 lbs heavier and had 1" hooks. although the beard was a bit shorter at 8.5"

the weight we used a bathroom scale that i couldnt figure out the flash to make it show up so on my word it was 18.5 lbs.if this makes it not count ill post the unreadable pics.forgot the digital both days.thinkin about leavin it home full time.lol

the first bird scores 51.5 and the 2nd using 3/4 spurs is 55.375 .

also the reason the pics came out today was due to rjhulberts camera expertise.i was lucky enough for him to make the bathroom scale show up.he is more technology fluent!lol

Layed the Smack Down on this bad boy at 6:35 this am. It was a great hunt with lots of gobbles and it was nice to get out with my dad. Bird weighed 19lbs 9" beard 7/8 spurs on each side for a NWTF score 54.5

Finally tagged out this morning. I had 2 close encounters with this bird over the past 2 weeks and got him today. 20.1 lbs, 1 1/16" spurs x2, beard was messed up only 6.5", i think from banging every hen in the neighborhood.
