Title: Allagash
Post by: Darby on Nov 07, 2022, 04:34:10 PM
Went up to camp Wednesday for 3 days in the Allagash.  Got our bird limit every day, and 2 rabbits as well.  Only saw 2 cow moose, and 1 deer on camp road at night.  Ate very well, here was day 1 on the road

Unfortunately Friday night at 9:55, we saw this across the cove.  Neighbors camp, thankfully no one was hurt, and rain the past few weeks kept the fire from spreading.

We got there before the boat and snowmobile caught, so 3 of us were able to move them to safety.

Feel really bad, they are very nice people, hopefully they can rebuild next year

Damn! Good thing you guys were there. Nice work on the bird limits, I never so so many rabbits as I did this year in zone 2. Breakfast looked great too. Thanks for sharing

No idea how fire started.  Can't imagine it will be easy to tell with total collapse, and propane on side of house.  Guessing accelerant will be present, but may have been a result of fore already going.  We didn't do much, glad everyone was ok

What a shame. At least you saved a few things for them.

Congrats on the birds.
