I'm taking my son hunting he's 15 ,his last youth day. He has shot three bucks in the years past.He's very pumped, he's hooked, a life long hunter!!  Plus he's shot 4 turkeys,the only set back is he broke his left arm and has a big cast from  elbow to fingers and wont get it off unitl the 24th, most of his camo wont fit over the cast.

fishmonger and i may be taken my brothers son out not sure if he still plans on going will be his fist year  with a firearm he was jumping for joy when he and his dad got doe permits things change his dad got offered a job by another of my brothers in Kentucky that he couldn't refuse and left for Kentucky 2 weeks ago

I hope one of you take him out,try a easy hunt the first few hours and last few hours on the edge of a field or power line. He's going to get tired and bored quickly.

   thats what we had in mind iam not much of a sitter myself fishmonger can sit for hrs so he'd be the better teacher josh has hunted 2 years with us carring a empty BB gun so he has some idea of what its all about .

Did anyone have any luck?  The Sunday Telegram showed an 8 pointer that a 12 year old shot.

not here way too much wind and that kid walked the back side off me took him shooting in the afternoon did well 75 yds he was hitting a paint can so if he sees a deer he should have it
