Saturday, we went to Windam Butcher Shop and picked up our "gift moose" (  ::) $575.00  ::)

So we get our 8 freezer boxes (over 400 lbs.) home and commence to stocking the chest freezer(36 cu.ft.), when it doesn't take long to realize that we've gotta get another chest freezer.   :P  Granted, we won't have to buy beef (burger, stew meat, roasts, & all kinds of different steak cuts) for a long, long time. The way I see it....It's all good   ;)

Here is my buddies moose he shot last monday.   720 lbs, 46 inch spread, 20 points, one shot through the top of the heart, 2 in the lungs, all 3 shots when straight through leaving golf-ball sized holes. Dropped after two steps, fell on the side of the road!

they charge .55 per lb. for the entire weight of the moose (ours was 790 lbs.) then added 70 lbs of beef suet @ $2.00 for the burger.

I see....guess that comes out to about the same as paying .75 cents after hide, legs and head is removed as I did. The extra $140 was the beef.  8)

Nice bull, Stanimal.  ;D

Nice bull, I like the webbed rack. How did you get the skull so clean? Did you just scrape it down or is there some easy method?

Pressure washer to clean the skull-works like a charm.  5minutes and that thing is pristine!
