where do you hunt out past rochester......ill be out that way only little east of it...lyons ny and they have no ticks that I ever see

South of Mount Morris in the town of Dalton .....  i've been going out for opening day for 10+ years now.  My friend from college has 230 acres in his family and we get 20+ guys every year.

Last couple of years have been slim pickings with just a buck or two taken each year.

Checked the cams yesterday quickly. Caught one crawling across my hand 2 hours later riding to get dinner. Pulled another out of my right thigh this morning

Tons of them in Northern Otsego county this weekend. Pulled one off me last night and had a bite on me the night before. Now I have rash on my arms and chest, looks like a trip for some anti-biotics...

I pulled at least 30 off my cloths tonight when I got out of the woods. I have been being much more careful with them this years. Strip down to a pair of mesh shorts outside the car and get all my cloths in a rubbermaid. When i got my cloths off had 5 or 6 crawling on my skin. Gives me the heeby jeebies thats for sure.

Had 2 this weekend on my hand & arm, neither got thier nasty little chompers into me. Not looking forward to SZ though. The area we hunt down there always has way more ticks than anywhere else I've ever seen. Unless we get a good solid freeze before SZ opens I'll be in my tree with the creepy crawlies and looking at every pc of exposed skin & my clothes.  Yuck I hate those things !!!!
