2 days 3 Ticks

Seems like we've all been talkin mosquitos all summer and how bad they have been we've forgotten about the ticks. 

Ive hung 4 stands in the last 2 days (southern tier) and I have managed to get 3 ticks.  And my dog got one.

Anyone else noticing with the arrival of the cooler temps the ticks have returned in full force?

I have not seen a single one. I harvested a doe a few days ago and she was clean as well?

Ticks have been way down around my place - The fleas on the other hand have been a totally different story.

Knock on wood, we have had a lot fewer fleas this year and no ticks so far.

Went to hang a stand in an area know for tics last night an they were pretty bad. Open trail all the way to my stand and had 7 on my pants when i got out. Changed and put my cloths in a tote and had one crawling on my ear when i got home. Not a lot we can do but keep an eye on them.

my stand and my sons stand are about 400 yards apart. When I use my stand I usually see no ticks, he uses his stand and he has them all over him when he gets out of his stand.  I cant understand this.

I have notice less ticks this year. i have been pounding the woods the last few month have had not one on me. Course its been really wet and we had a lot of snow last winter...but the mosquito's have been horrible.

The deer Tyler shot was loaded... unusual for this area.....I haven't seen any on me or had any while sitting so far.

I dog and cat have each had one in the last week and they get sprayed every week....hunts2long

I've been loaded with them lately in the lake george region. Checked 2 cams, didn't even hunt, and had 4 deer ticks on me. My moms dog is getting a bunch as well.
