What grain bullet for the .270? I have 200 130gr a friend did for me for Christmas a few years ago. This was the first year shooting a deer with them. Wasn't to happy with bullet performance. Switching to 150's next year.

Well after 2 seasons of holding out for a better buck, I left my buck tagged unfilled again.  Came very close to taking a big 7 pt. that came into calls and a decoy during bow, but didn't offer a broadside shot.  Still it was a successful season with new things learned and quality time spent with good company.  I did take a nice doe for the freezer (first with a rifle) and the 'boys' I hunt with tagged a few.  Here are a few pics:

Had a Good Season; Just ended too quickly. Can't wait till next year...

Doe with the Bow

Six Point With Muzzleloader

Eight Point with Rifle

Doe with Rifle   DMP Tag

Dad with Shotgun Doe

Friend (Viv) with Rifle Doe

My Brother had a Buck walk up on him on day two of Southern Zone opener. He got Buck Fever and missed the 40yard shot. The was one of the best memories of the season.

These deer were taken in two separate areas.  We hunt some land west of Rochester and then I have a small 5 acre camp above Keuka Lake in the town of Pulteney (Steuben co.) that is in the area of several tracts of state lands.

Looks like some nice harvests everyone lets see more!
