Driving home from our little league game last night my kids says....we just passed a couple deer....so i turned around and drove back in the opposite direction and saw three deer by the side of the road. One was a beautiful buck that was probably and eight pointer or so. A couple days ago i saw a spike.
My question is....are their antlers still growing or are they fully formed by now?

My neighbor saw 2 bucks eating from his apples trees the other night and one of them had a lot of velvet coming off. Assuming this is the truth, would they still be growing if the velvets allready coming off??

depends on each individual deer. They don't all shed their velvet at the same time. Some may still have some growing these next couple of weeks. Usually, by late August they are fully developed and done growing.
