I'm new to this forum and to bow hunting. I live in the capital region and I'm curious to get everyone's feedback on the pre rut.
Based on your experiences and observations this season to date, has the pre rut started in our area? What tactics work for you when calling in bucks?

Welcome to the site. Or new to posting.. ;D
The young bucks are in full swing here in
CNY.. Lots of rubs and ground scraps.
Couple nice southern zone bow bucks taken so far.. This is the weekend to hunt all day with the 2nd full moon of the month..
Good luck......

Thanks. I've been doing morning or evenings sits up until this point. I've been seeing mostly doe with the occasional spike coming through. To date I haven't seen any signs of rubs or scrapes. I keep looking on the property I hunt.
Any advice on calling?
