You should buy a pair of the U.S. military snowshoes. They are made from aluminium and can take a beating. Cheaper than dirt usually carries them around this time for around 60 bucks. There durable and you can't beat the price. ;)

look into cabelas, but I found some nice ones at sams club called yukon charlies and they come with poles and a carrying case as well.  They seem to work really nice.

I recommend modified bearpaws(this is the style) by Havelick Snowshoe Company out of Mayfield, NY. I have had mine now for over 12 years. they are wood, with slip on bindings. They are light weight and manuever easily through the woods and the bindings and snowshoes will cost about $110. I reccomend if you do get snowshoes to go to a company or dealer to get sized for the snow shoes.
Tresspassing on my land is bad, Tresspassing on my land with an ATV will get you shot!

I've got a pair of aluminum shoes from Faber.  I'm not crazy about them.  I've used them for coyote hunting and I found them to be a little loud if you come across any gravel.  I think I like the old style wooden shoes better but the new ones are better for thicker bush.
If it can't get done outdoors, it isn't going to get done!
