My Lab.

Very sad story I have to tell.   I got a new black lab puppy eight days ago, she sure was a beautiful looking pup.   Ship of fools don't you agree  that she was a beauty.  Today I took her to the emergency room on Rte 7 in watervliet and the vet told me that she was a very sick dog and that she would not make it through the night .  After tests  it was decided by me and the vet the right thing to do was to put her down. I only had her 8days but damn I sure  fell in love with that little pup.   Its going to take me a while to get over this one.

We've had to do it with older dogs over the last 5 years but it's a horrible experience and we still own three Springers and I dread the day that it comes again. I feel your pain.

Oh Wow....that is terrible....sorry about your little lab.......I bet she was a jewel......Again real sorry she had to be put down...

Wow!  That's horrible.  Is it something she came with from the breeder?  It's a shame either way.

Yes it was something that came  from the breeder.  Problem with red blood cells.

I've seen this twice. Not sure if it's the same disease but the two cases I know of the breeder by law had to either let them have another pup if any were left or full refund. Both parties took a refund incase the other pups also were infected. Can't remember the disease, maybe someone else knows...?
