Congrats young man on a fine doe for the freezer! Don't worry about those bucks.....the antlers dont taste too good anyway.
Great doe on youth day, Trevor. Congrats!!!! What a nice looking firearm, too.I know, I know; "Loves To Fish" as a username on a hunting forum is a little lame, but I do enjoy hunting. It's just that I do much better fishing than hunting.
Have you ever tryed smelts?
Really!!!! I have NEVER lost or wounded a deer with a 30-30 and it is my prefered caliber. I own a number of others but it's what I always come back to. It's all about shot placement and getting close. I am not nor ever been comfortable with those long shots. I shot a deer years ago at about 225 235 yrds w/ a 270 and almost lost it. Never shot another over 100 yards most under 50
nice job!! my son is 9. he can't wait till next year.
