storing jerky?

(1/3) > >>

SilentStalker:
I've made jerky numerous times, but generally for an upcoming trip that was in the near future. (we all know there is never any leftover) This year I'd like to make more than usual and store it. What's the best storing method? Can i store them in canning jars? and if so, do they need to be sealed in the canning fashion?
And with whatever is advised, what amount of time can i expect the jerky to keep? Thanks in advance :D

Stuck-on-Seven:
Freezer. Make it as close to air tight as possible and freeze it. It will last a looooong time

I vacuum seal it and freeze it as well. Bag it up in quantitys for a daily hunting or fishing trip. Keeps just fine.
