the third one in from the left is the bearded hen thats why its so skinny.lol.the one all the way to the right i found in a field.i was driving by and threw it in park ran out and grabbed it.it was poached out of a tree that morning i heard the shot that morning just as you could see.in fact my dad and i said wow that was early.after i grabbed the bird we pulled into the powerlines right across that field.all of a sudden a guy pulls in and was askin alot of questions.said he shot one early and couldnt recover it.oh well karma sucks sometimes.anyways i cant wait to hunt.

thanks drobs.i just hate sitting home while i know they are out there strutting ya know what i mean?we wanted to touch up some man made blinds friday but the snow kept us in.cabin fever is setting in and im ready to be back in the woods.

never though about cutting the spurs off like you did...interesting way of displaying them with the fan....I always just cut the whole legs off including the feet.... ...I like your way better..it looks good

believe it or not i have a blood stained rock on one of my shelves also. the gravy is not that of a whitetail tho. its more of a souvenir of my youth.     i may or may not have tumbled off the river bank during the annual firemans  carnival and landed on my back smashing my head on the rocks which resulted in flashing lights and medical treatment.  few stitches here and there and i was good as new. well ........ almost.    made daddy proud that night

Dan's rocks are to fancy to finish off a deer. Pretty sure Dad used a quartz one and bigger in size for more force.

bunch of ball busters.lol.the beer can is my first busch out of a camo can and the rocks have various meanings.and hey rebelfisher a hacksaw works well to get them off but the trick is to leave enough leg to hold to make the second cut.my dad showed me that method and its easier than havin whole feet laying around.the other thing is make sure ya take a tooth pick and get the marrow out and the tendon or they tend to stink!
