Thanks guys. It was much easier letting them go knowing I had good footage of the encounter; plus more toms for next year. ;)

Here's the rest of the up close action:

Took a ride out to farm country to scout for the weekend, couldn't get back in there because I didn't want to spook them. They were yelping, cutting and gobbling like crazy right near one usual roost spot; gonna have to drive in from the backside to set up without spooking them off the roost. Should be fun, I'll be calling for two guys. Here's a trail cam pic from two years ago the property owner got:

The jake video is real cool. One of the hen clips I got she puffed up for a long time even stretched her wings once or twice. The trail cam pic is amazing hardly seems real.

Glad you had me thinking about trying the higher resolution, the 1080 is a lot clearer and doesn't use more memory on the card. ;)

Nice, Congratulations. I don't understand the one per day in the spring. Sounds like there are plenty of jakes around for next year.

Hiked in before first light to the spot I had the longbeard sneak in from behind yesterday, had a feeling they roosted there.
All set up by 5:20, at 5:40 I hear a gobble to the left, then another front left, there's 2 roosted; later I heard another one further down to the left. Just before six I here, hens clucking away to the right but closer, almost above me but I didn't know it, thought they were further down; it was getting light and I guess they saw they decoy. I was waiting for wing flaps but never heard any, just a thump behind the blind; peeked out the back window and saw a good sized hen, then two more out front. They were running to the decoy, and I was just able to grab the bow and turn on the camera:

They seemed spooked by the blind and didn't stay long and headed of to the right, perfect setup between the toms and hens. 8)
