Help me choose a ground blind
« on: Oct 16, 2011, 08:30:13 PM »
Hunted for the first time out of a ground blind.

Found out it is to small and I cant draw with out the bow and/or elbow hitting the blind causing noise.

Screwed up twice tonight cause of this.

What blinds are bowhunter friendly? Looking to spend around $100

I think mine is a Primos Ground Max. It's on the small side for bow hunting, but should be better for me now with the new shorter Z7. I shot a deer out of one a while back. I had to kneel in that one to shoot, but it actually worked well kneeling you may want to try that in the one you have. I would just get a rubber floor mat or old treestand cushion to kneel on.

I have a cheep ($50 @ Herb Philipsons) Ameristep fold up for turkey hunting.  It easily fits two of us sitting on buckets.  You can't stand in it, but there would be plenty of room for one person to draw a bow kneeling or sitting.

I bought one from WALmart...it is $99 and made by Stategy...it is pretty much Identical to the Gander MTn verision that goes over $200...it is plenty big...I had the same success as you but it is nice...you can stand up and hunt two out of it...and I don't see it on their website...it was in the stores...It is Mossy Oak new Break up and I believe it is 60 X 60 X 70"

Just got one at dicks. Its a field and stream, the hunter magnum, Same size that you listed. Just fired 2 magnus stingers through the screen. Good to go. Gotta get my work out in then head out and set this up for the evening hunt.
