HEADING TO MAINE

[30-30]

           I'm heading to Maine around Nov. 10th , I've been going up in THE NORTH MAINE WOODS for the last 27yrs or so, does anybody know how things are there? IN the last 5yrs its been hard huntung with the logging practices & the rough winters. WE have a lease on a camp in there & enjoy the area the people we meet, everyone are always nice to us & we're the same to them. You have  agreat state to come to & I hope to keep going there for many more years.          THANKS to you all

i agree. so much so ive stopped hunting them in the allagash and go to maryland to get them instead. the amount of gas you spend looking for them and getting to areas there are a few, youre better to take that money and head out of state. we came back w / 7 deer last time. w/ a 5 and 8 point in there. gonna take alot before me and my family consider to hunt for deer up here agian. i just hunt birds and keep a few slugs w/ me in case.

I'll be at camp around that time for 2 week's. Mine is just outside lincoln. Saw some encouraging sign this summer, Well for the future anyway, seem's like a few skipper's made it.
