Just got back a little while ago. About 400 miles since yesterday morning.
Out to Sidney from Rochester by way of Ovid for viewing hours. Nice flock of snows on Cayuga Lake after we left mom's house. Took 40 minutes just to get to the front of the line at the funeral home. Uncle Larry's daughter did a great job picking out mementos, and her husband helped her scan pictures spanning 67 too short years of her dad's life. Almost 30 minutes worth of photos! Did dinner at Trackside Diner with my family after. 7 dinners with salad bar, 1 sandwich, 7 coffees, 2 soft drinks, 3 desserts for less than a hundred bucks before tip. 4.5 stars! Back to Ovid, and spent the night at Mom's. Took forever to go to bed - not sure if it was two cups of coffee working, or just overtired.
Up too early, even though no kids with us. Left Mom's, and went up 89 to look at birds. A few thousand Canadas, along with some swans and ducks mixed in. Hit the outlet mall briefly - no damned 40"/XL hunting pants at Columbia
Back out to the mom-in-laws for nephew's birthday. Chili, bbq pork, and redneck sledding behind the 4 wheeler, along with a Sabres win on Long Island. Now sitting at home, looking at the disaster area that is our house. It can wait until tomorrow.
