There is nothing more fun than filling your game bag with squirrels. They taste really good in a pot pie too! I can't get enough of those squirrely little buggers. Anybody gget the itch too?

oh yeah, I like them because they are easy, and fun to shoot at, plus they taste good, and just about everything about them is a good thing.  Some days I use a shotgun, somedays I go long range sniping with a .17 some days with a .22 or a rampage 25 round mag .22 and one other gun on my back with a pistol on my hip.  They are just plain fun to hunt

You guys are talking big grey squirrels eh? I shoot red (tree) squirrels (the little guys) mostly to improve my shooting outside and for fly-tying materials. I got a good one the other day at about 30 yards with my bow ;D

I only shoot the grey and black (actually just a color variation of the grey) squirrels.  I usually eat the squirrels I shoot and the red ones taste awful.  Most of the reds around me live in pine trees and they seem to have a bitter taste, maybe from eating all those pine cone seeds and pine buds.
Their comin' right for us!

I almost made the Canadian National Team for the World Indoor Archery Championships. I'm proficient ;D And I've had lots of practice shooting furries ;D I've been shooting since I was 7 and I'm 18 now. Squirrels are my favourite off-season target. And by the way they're about half the size of your big greys.

On a target note.....we shoot FITA (Federation of Internation Target Archers) tournaments to 90 meters......about 80-85 yards in imperial. And let me tell you, 90m is a LONG way. We shoot at 122cm faces (about 1.5 yards across) and the yellow looks like a little dot. Tough shooting. Gotta love the long ones!

I just put up that pic of the murder scene.

I nailed her right between the stereo and the speaker.
And yes, it was a grey.

No acorns, Arch.
Just a family of squirrels that decided to take up residence in the house.

E's dad has shot three!

I think it is funny how squirrels are thought of as game, I always think of them as varmits, doing damage to property. Here we can shoot greys with no permits of licences but the reds are "fur bearing animals", its the reds that are the problem.

I shot one yesterday out of compasion, I came home from work and I saw a tail flicker under one of my trees, I walked over and it didn't move, so I got my bb gun and shot it acouple times in the head. My wife was haveing a fit, "you can't shoot in town", she wanted to just let the dog take care of it.
