hunting without a dog

is there anyway you can productively hunt cons without a dog?

Yes it can be done, but you need to check your state laws.  In Iowa, it's illegal to spot light and that would be the only way to hunt them w/o dogs.

??? once the dog trees, you are allowed to use the light to get a clean shot but you can't just walk through the woods looking for beady little eyes.

Hope that makes more sense.
