how old?

[trying to get my first]

I was out hunting today and another guy that hunts the land shot a deer..it was a button buck.(90-100 or so lbs).the buttons looks like they had blood on them..like it shed them some... how old do you think this deer it??

If it was a button buck it was a fawn from this year.

If it was a button, yes 6-8 months.  I have never heard of a 90-100 lb. button however.  Usually they are smaller than that.   Sounds like if it had bloody antler bases, and no antlers,  it might have been a small 1.5 year old buck that had already shed it's antlers.  Did it actually have buttons or no?

well i guess i over estimate..i was at checking station when they put it on the scale..65 lbs live weight about 90 or so
