Probably more in the Catskills than down that way, I like hunting there when I can. Want to try to get my buddy another one, we took a couple several years ago at the place I got my tom last year on the second to last day.

Yeah eastern shores and western part of MD have a pretty good population from what Iv read. I was reading an article about how they were still introducing turkey's back to areas in 2008.  I think the habitat isn't that great where I deer hunt but I got one spot with a few birds and so does my buddy so we will have the bows and blind out come April.

I love the terrain of the Catskills hunting those ridges with farm fields on the bottom

Not to hijack but on the turkey hunting subject has anyone seen the new MADD decoys in person. They look good from the description but everywhere is sold out on them. Looking to get a new set I like the zinks they look great and are easy to pack but they are pricey.

Been following the Western NE weather, one last cold day today, mid sixties Sun. and Mon., 40 for a day and fifties after that; all the snow has melted. Looking good for my trip, of course it could cool back down.

I am glad that I applied for a late season this year. I drew 4Th season May1-7 for me. It's going to be a late spring if we even have one around here. I'm still ice fishing on 25" of ice, and more *#%& snow tonight.

Birds finally are starting to come out of the deep woods and yard up near houses here in the hills of western ma. However, still 20" + of ice on the ponds and 2ft of snow. It will be a late spring. Which means not a lot of green so plenty of open shots
