Well how was your season better than last or worse rate on a 1/10 scale 1 the worst 10 the best.

I’ll give my season a 9. I feel there is always room for improvement so a 10 isn’t happening. Last year I gave myself a 0. Missed my first season ever, I did not hunt and was bedridden all fall until a surgery in December that allowed me to walk again followed by a rigorous winter and spring of rehab so how could this year not be a 9 getting back to normal. I was able to harvest a big nanny doe, two 8 pts., and a 10pt. Filling all tags. Already prepping for next season

I’d go with a solid 8. My father and I did not out anything on the ground (not that we normally do), but we started scouting much earlier than normal, got a ton of great trail cam pictures of deer and other wildlife (bobcat, fisher, foxes, and even a video of a hawk getting a squirrel), and he got his first shot at a buck even though it was a clean miss.
We also tracked in the snow about a weeks worth of days which was super enjoyable. Got to within shooting distance on several does, and learned our lesson about following “The herd” and not the solo tracks....
I also took out my bow with the intention of maybe killing a deer for the first time in years. My father and are more motivated after this year then any other. Already putting plans into the works for next year.
Hey, and I also joined this site!

I have to give it about a 7,,I did get a 7 point and our party got 5 nice northern NY bucks and about 10 deer in the southern zone,I seen 22 deer all season in the north,3 bucks and a few not sure, hunted almost everyday atleast some, winter came early and the deer left our country .

Hunted 12 days in osteogenesis county saw a total of 9 deer ,does, no bucks so I at least saw deer but not a buck so I rate it a 4, deer numbers have decreased!

I would say an 8 or 9. I passed a bunch of young bucks and a few does. Also saw the biggest buck of my life but not in range with the bow. I missed a nice 10 point and an 8 with the bow both at 40 yards. My son lost a spike with the crossbow and then bagged his first deer ever with the rifle..a doe. First season in a long time I haven’t filled a tag but made some awesome memories and had a really fun season. Can’t wait to shed hunt and get ready for next season.

I would give it an 8. May have missed hunting 8/10 days of the season. Saw 14 deer, three I was not sure of and the rest were does. That is more deer than the last 2 seasons combined. The last week was hard hunting with 15-17 inches of snow, at least for an old guy.
Congrats to all that deer this year. Not many hunters on here anymore but I enjoy the stories and the pictures....h2l

I would say 9.5. All tags filled and some great deer.

Sorry otsego county ny

I would give it a solid 9. Bow season was great with 2 doe and a nice 8 point. Gun season was slower than normal, I did not see many deer after opening day.
I tried hard to get my mom a shot at a deer and that never panned out.
All in all it was a great season.
I am already laying out plans for next year. The season never really ends!

Never does for the serious hunters, you can tell the serious ones because they’re the ones be called “ lucky” by the ones who “don’t have time” ;D

I would say I’m at 9.2 right now. Can still hunt through Jan. 31st where I am. Not sure if I will. Killed my best buck to date. Killed five does to go with him. Lacking motivation don’t have any bigger bucks on camera. Ready for shed season.
