Title: opening day turkey
Post by: nyduckman on May 04, 2018, 05:50:50 PM
Opening day had Dad and I in tully NY again this year.. 545am we had 5 birds gobbling on the roost but at 610 we herd the calls of at least a half dozen hens fly down and head away from us pulling the gobblers we had on roost.. didn't hear another bird till 945 and even then it was about 500 hundred yards from us, at 1020ish those same birds gobbled back to our calls once at about 300 yards.. by 1055 I had 3 gobblers in gun range and I took this nice 2 year old.. 9inch beard 3/4 spurs and 19.5 pounds
