Good dinner there. I was excited the other night. I walked the electric fence line to make sure the deer hadn't knocked it down again and flushed 8 partridge from under an old apple tree. The last 4 or 5 years they've been all but extinct. They must have had a good hatch this spring.  I think I'll try to use some restraint and leave these guys alone so maybe we can have another good spring.  ;D

Nice find JJ. I had sushi for dinner at my friends house. We had a good ocean trip so I brought some blue fin tuna toro over and we made tuna/avocado/cucumber roles and had some straight up sushimi.

The tuna we're maybe up to a half hour.  My 8' blue shark was probably not much more than ten minutes. The bigger sharks took longer.

Yeah it did Chuck. We were hooking big blue sharks while cod fishing, after the tuna shut down. When we decided to call it and make the LONG trip in I was the only one who hadn't caught a big fish. so we pulled up all the cod jigs and as the mate was reaching for the shark rod it started screaming. My arms were already tired from jigging cod in 250fow with a 17oz jig. So I strapped the belt on and took the rod. While they were trying to get the two belts on me right I somehow got a backlash. I notice the line knotted as they are trying to attach me to the reel  :o, so I yell at the captain/mate that I'm knotted in a birds nest and the captain comes back and sees it. I assumed he was going to cut the line, nope, he says "hook him in, I'll back up and gain some line to work with". So now I'm locked to the reel and not sure how big this thing is yet. So I horsed in an 8' 200lb blue shark, deathly afraid it's going to make a big run and rip me out of the boat. Now keep in mind I had recently watched Jameson fight his 10-12' blue shark. This video is one of the runs that shark made.
