Well Mr.Vexilar here from Ice Shanty.  Bout time to be getting geared up for the spring turkeys, and putting in LOTS and LOTS of plots this spring!!!  Just thought id make my first post of the year a good one!! Lets see your guys' favorite mounts.  Heres mine, 06 turkey kill hunted the bird for 2 weeks strait finally killed em last mornin of the hunt after FINALLY being able to put em to bed the night before.  U shoulda heard the gobble on this bird.  Hes my biggest to date.  Got him mounted this way cuz i watched em up in the tree gobblin outta the roost before i was able to harvest em.  Funny thing is we were videoin but my buddy took off the last day and went up north to do scoutin for his season, then i killed em while my camera man was gone, but dad was there to witness it.  Pry my most memorable turkey hunt.

I just started doing my own euro mounts 2 years ago.  Bonehead u must be from a big buck state cuz i see an easy B&C buck on the wall that is just a Euro mount!! They look good tho!

I got sticker shock  when i found out how much a shoulder mount costs. Besides I like bonesheads better.

OK alright.  How does this mount look???


SHot this guy oct 1st, you can see the muscle tone in his neck area, guy mounted it for me for $325


THe bigger one was shot in late november, thicker coat on em, same guy mounted that buck for $300, the bigger one was the first year he was in the taxidermy business.  He does dang good work for a DARN good price!!!!  THe pheasants were mounted by my dad.

  although im not too much of an upland hunter my dad is and he really enjoys mounting upland birds, heres a couple shots of the two ringneck roosters he mounted fighting.

Oak.....what kinda collar is on that bear? Tell us the story!

The collar on the bear was for tracking our DNR had done a bear study 4 years previous and there were a few bears that were not recaptured this was my first bear that i had ever killed and it had a collar on it so i wanted it mounted with one on the collar actually hides some of the damage that the old one did. It had got tight over the years and had dug it's self into her neck about 3/4" and very sore looking a doubt that she would have survived the winter.
I shot his bear in 95 with my 54cal muzzleloader
