Title: Finally got one after 2 years of nothing!

But worth the wait.  I missed him twice yesterday morning. Turns out I must of bumped my scope and knocked it out of alignment
(I was shooting high and note the patch of fur missing off his back) .  So after a trip to the shooting range yesterday after noon I was all set for today. He came out and I dropped him in his tracks with my .270.  227 yard shot in the field.   8-points, 184 lbs field dressed. biggest bodied buck I ever shot.

Droped mine off at the butchers today...man there were a lot of very nice bucks there stacked up!

Not to bad, but he was so freaking heavy that dragging on the gravel driveway was a bit hard.

WOOOAAAH !  I just reread your story.....you shot at this buck the day before and got a second crack at him the next day ?   Please put lucky horshoe in the mail.  I'll  PM you my mailing address.     ;D LOL  That doesn't happen very often.  Glad you were able to capitalize the second time.  Congrats again.

you should try the game cart , way easier than a sled till the snow really flies .

Actually, I drove out into the field to get him where he died. I used the jet sled to get him from my garage to my yard for pictures.  ;D
