How's everyone doing?

Had a great weekend. Yesterday I shot an 8-pointer up north with my muzzeloader after stalking him for 40 minutes on my hands and knees.  As my brother and I were dragging him out of the woods, my brother spotted a spike horn feeding on the other side of a downed tree, 10 yards away. For some reason it never heard or saw us dragging my deer. My brother snuck up to within 5 yards and shot him too. Then we spent the rest of the day dragging our deer the two miles back to our truck. The best part was this was my first deer ever with a muzzleloader and we both shot our deer within 20 minutes of each other. I hope all of you are doing well too!

We took pictures with a disposable camera. I am hoping to get a digital camera for christmas so I can post pictures.

I think you can take the pics to someplace like walmart, and they will put them on a disk for you.  Good job on the loader bucks!  Tons of fun, eh?  I hunted with them exclusively for probably 10+ years now during gun season.

I shot this spike last Monday.  While it's not Mr. Big, it's my first bow kill in 15 years.  That's what happens when you have kids and a "real job". Ha ha.  When I first saw the deer it was 35 yards away heading into some thick stuff.  Once I lost sight of him, I took out the trusty true talker grunt tube.  The deer was walking away but came back when he heard me.  He offered me a 15 yard shot, and he dropped 30 yards from my tree stand.

well i for one consider any kill a trophy, no matter the head gear or gender.
nice deer and congrats on your first kill in 15 years with your bow.
thats a nice placement of your arrow too.

Way to go on a great deer. As Arch said, I think all bow killed deer are true trophies. Welcome to MHF and good shot by the way.

Thank you for the well wishes. The weather does look nice for the next 3-4 days or so in my area. It has been awful wet and windy here. It was 26 degrees when I headed out this AM. The bucks in my area have just started to show a bit of interest in the does, another week or so and I think they will be a lot more active. Good luck all, keep the posts comming.
