I agree with that. You read similar stories almost every year. If the fines were higher and the loss of licence was longer, then people may think twice before starting an operation like this.

also in the state of maine i do beleive night hunting is a felony which if convicted would prohibit them from possessing a firearm

it's still a joke....they're gonna get a year for poaching, when you get 3 years for messing around with someone else's traps  ,  where's  the priority....doesn't sound like it's animals.

 Hell, you get 5 years for being too hungover

Taking a poachers hunting licence away is suppossed to deter them from poaching?  That's like wiping before you poop.....it just don't make sence.
