What a day

I found her.... ;D I did have the hard job today. I went to where we last saw blood and did a circle check of the ground nearby. . I was just about to go futher in the woods when I gave a look in the woods to my left and saw her white underside...that was the easy part....man what a work out.. This is my buddy John with his deer

 I went back to the same area tonight and got my first deer she and her mother came out and mom got spooked and the fawn stayed...she was about 20 yrds away. I had to crouch down to make the shot....I did and it spined her.. she layed there trying to walk and couldn't...so I waited awhile and then got down after I new she wasn't going anywhere and finished it with my knife...I didn't weight her.....I dont think that I want to....my dog weighs more :D...Will be some good eating in the shack.....(if we get ice early dec)

Thanks again guys...I need all the encouragement for taken a small deer...If it wasn't my first I might have let her go...I needed to get the skunk over. I told myself that if I didn't get a one this yr with my bow I wouldn't do it next yr, so it looks like I'll be back out there next Sept. with the bow....In a way it sucks cause there is still some good fishing...Not enough free time to do it all...
