Congrats! That's a heck of an accomplishment. I'd be proud of that one. I spent all weekend hiking, crouching and crawling all over the country side trying to get close to one. There were so many antelope around I kept getting busted by animals I didn't even know were there. Had an awesome stalk that ended up putting me five yards from one (shoeless) and still managed to screw it up (long story  ;D). Going to recoup and try again. Again, nice work!

Sweeeet!  Seriously though, do you just bring one arrow to make it more of a challenge?  ;D

Good goat there BD.  I saw fresh snow on the mountains this morning.  Both the Big Horns and the peaks around Cody.  I think the snow line was about 9,000 feet or a bit lower.  Maybe we can put an end to another summer.  I hate hot weather. :P

thanks, guys.  LT, i just am gonna do a skull mount on 'im.  just finished skinning the head all out, so now we'll let the ravens and magpies at it.

::) thought i was gonna get away with the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy: i missed one BIG buck in the morning, misjudging the 30 yd distance at 40 and just buzzing the hair on his back, so that was one arrow down the drain, then shot my buck a little far back, only wounding it, (losing that arrow somewhere in the sage) then tracked it down to its bed a mile away.  i snuck into 40 yds, thought i was about to seal the deal, but somehow missed when he spun out of his bed and high-tailed it another half-mile.   ::)  so when i finally tracked him to his third bed, i was able to get another arrow in 'im.   ;D  that's why i'm so proud of this buck - i followed him through some really gnarly terrain, tracked him when there was only a drop or two of blood every fifteen yds, and made some really grueling belly-crawl stalks to get to him.

Larry, i saw that snow, too; back into my element!  i hate the hot summer , too.   ;)

thanks again, everyone, and good luck on your hunts....  now, onto deer and elk  :)
