it opens Monday I believe, anyone going out? I might see if I can find the time, I'll have to take a stand close to my yard probably, I sprained my ankle on Thursday.

I'm heading out at noon.
If it can't get done outdoors, it isn't going to get done!

I've been out twice now for couple of evening posts.  I can hear them around and real close but they don't seem interested in coming out of their bedding area until after dark.  Anyone here ever have any luck with rattling this early in the season?

I got out last night and sat for about 4hrs, I would have to say it was a good evening, after sitting for a about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs I saw a doe with a fawn (still with spots), I thought there might be a buck after them so I sat and waited another hr, I was hearing some noise (cracks and crashes) so I readied myself for a big buck, but no buck, I had two small bears crashing by, they looked about a year old or so, I have never been so close to wild bears before, they were standing on there back legs and playing and fighting and just having a good time, I really enjoyed watching them. So not much for deer, but a good evening hunt doesn't always mean a kill, best time spent on a stand in awhile.
