Hey, Thanks!

I live in southern Maine. I have been hunting for the past 10 years (with 1 year missed so 9 years). So far only whitetail but I would like to start hunting more. I am self-taught as no one else in my family has an interest. I have been skunked every year (so i guess i just do a lot of armed nature watching) but love being in the woods. Im hoping to learn something here and get my first deer.

I go to a hunting camp up in the North Maine Woods, I've been going there for 40 years and have only bagged 10 deer. Keep hunting and your time will
come. There are a few guys on MHF that live in Maine, you should try to PM them and see if they live close to you, maybe they would be willing to share
some secrets! Good luck this year!

Thanks for the advice. Missed one last year, had a 4 pointer walk out right next to me but I was shaking more than a teenage boy on prom night and missed. Hopefully I get the same opportunity and can keep calm this time. Good luck this season.

it was very exciting. I used the can call and then used a tending grunt using a tube. First time I have ever had success with calls.
