Venison sausage

Has anyone here ever made venison breakfast sausage maple flavored with putting in real maple syrup, , I may try that.

Yes and it turned out great -  I make my own syrup so I have plenty.  It really tastes good and the syrup makes the sausage caramelize nicely.  I put crushed pepper flakes in mine so it has a nice spicy sweet flavor-

I just picked up a packed from bass pro to try to make some maple flavored sausage. Going to try to make some when I get back from Wyoming. I'll let you know how it comes out.
